Adrian’s First Blog: About Me

Ever since I was a child, I wanted to grow up to be a professional football player. In high school I had the pleasure to play football as well as other sports. Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with kidney failure. I had to give up my dream but now I have a new dream: to be a sports reporter. This blog will focus on the current events in professional and college football. This blog will include scores, player stats, and my predictions for the games for the upcoming week and next season. I am a student at Wayne at Wayne State University, located in the heart of Detroit MI. and here we have a saying: “Detroit vs. Everybody.” In the Past I have interned in some aspects of other sports besides football. In 2011 I have interned for the announcer of the University of Detroit Basketball team as a statistician. I’ve also hosted a radio program on Wayne State’s radio station, “Wayne Radio.” The title of my show was, “A.D. in the A.M.” and on the program I discuss events on campus. Deaf people likes sports too, and I will use my proficiency in American Sign Language to communicate with them about the world of sports. A wise wise man told me in the past that, “It’s not always what you say it’s how you say it,” and I have applied that to my journalistic style. With all the new opportunities in my future, this brings me closer to my dream of being a sports announcer. My Twitter handler is Adrian Lofton @AdrianAkaAd, and my email is fd5185@wayne.edu
